Tottenham Hotspur are expected to make a bid for one of their midfield targets, but Spurs have been focusing on offloading players for now, according to Sky Sports News.

Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou has been trimming his squad, with Bryan Gil and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg the two most recently to head through the door, while Emerson Royal is expected to join them.

Tottenham do want to make additions though and they hold a serious interest in Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher.

Atletico Madrid are currently trying to tie up a deal to sign Gallagher from Chelsea, but they are aware of Tottenham’s interest.

Chelsea, it is claimed, ‘expect’ Tottenham to ‘make a bid’ for Gallagher.

Spurs may have to move quickly as Atletico Madrid are holding talks with Chelsea for Gallagher and making progress.

The midfielder has been tipped to move on from Chelsea this summer as the Blues look to bring in funds.

Chelsea may prefer selling Gallagher to a club abroad rather than strengthening London rivals in the shape of Tottenham.
