Chido Obi would be considered the third striker behind Ramus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee at Manchester United once he joins the club, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The 16-year-old striker has left Arsenal and has decided to join Manchester United despite interest from Germany.

He is said to have rejected more lucrative contract offers from Germany in favour of accepting a move to Manchester United.

Manchester United are working to finalise terms with the forward and he is set to soon sign a contract with the club.

It has been claimed that Obi will be considered the third forward in Erik ten Hag’s squad behind Hojlund and Zirkzee.

He is likely to feature more for the Under-18s and the Under-21s but will be getting first-team minutes next season as well.

The pathway to first-team football is one of the key reasons behind the young Dane chose Manchester United as his next destination.

Ruud van Nistelrooy has also played a big role in convincing the young striker to move to Old Trafford.

Obi scored 32 times in 18 Under-18 Premier League appearances for Arsenal last season.
