FC Twente are making a big profit on Robin Propper by selling him to Scottish giants Rangers.

Gers boss Philippe Clement has moved quickly to put a deal in place for Propper as he looks to replace Connor Goldson.

Propper is Twente’s captain and losing him is a big blow for the club, but they did not want to stand in the way of the defender joining Rangers.

Twente landed Propper on a free transfer from Heracles and, according to Dutch daily De Telegraaf, they are to receive several million euros from Rangers.

That represents a big profit for Twente.

Rangers had lines of communication open with Twente this summer after selling striker Sam Lammers to the Dutch side.

Twente are paying €2m for Lammers, but it could rise to €3m when add-ons are included.

Propper is now set to undergo a medical at Rangers and could even make his Gers debut this weekend.
