Manchester United are now trying to ‘hijack’ Brighton’s swoop for full-back Ferdi Kadioglu, it has been claimed in Turkey, with the player’s choice ‘now crucial’.

The Turkey international has been expected to move on from Fenerbahce this summer amid strong interest from the Premier League.

Arsenal have been repeatedly linked with Kadioglu, but it has appeared that he would be making the switch to England with Brighton.

The Seagulls are suggested to be in talks to have a deal in place for the full-back, but now they have a complication in the shape of Manchester United to deal with.

According to Turkish outlet As Marca, Manchester United now have board members in Istanbul to try to hijack the deal.

It is suggested that their official bid is close to €42m.

Kadioglu’s choice, it is claimed, is ‘now crucial’.

Manchester United have been linked with Kadioglu throughout the summer and they may now be ramping up their efforts given the risk of losing him to Brighton.

Kadioglu did not play in Fenerbahce’s Champions League qualifying defeat earlier this week.
