Leeds United have failed with an enquiry for Feyenoord attacking midfielder Calvin Stengs this summer, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.

Then Whites are desperate to bring in players before the transfer window closes on 30th August.

Leeds are still looking to bring in replacements for Crysencio Summerville and Georginio Rutter, who joined clubs in the Premier League.

Stengs has been looked at as a potential option, and Leeds even made an enquiry to assess the possibility of making a deal.

However, the Whites were firmly told that the Dutchman was not available for a transfer this summer.

Stengs is not expected to leave the Rotterdam club before the window closes in the next ten days.

It remains to be seen whether Leeds look to revisit a potential deal in the final days of the transfer window.

Norwich City winger Jonathan Rowe has also been a big target but Marseille are expecting to sign him ahead of deadline day next week.
