Southampton midfielder Carlos Alcaraz is expected to sign a contract with Brazilian side Flamengo in the next 48 hours.
Alcaraz joined Southampton last January from Racing Club and saw the Saints getting relegated to the Championship.
In January, Serie A giants Juventus took him on loan and he featured 12 times for them in all competitions.
Alcaraz has been linked with a move away this summer and Flamengo have been locked in talks with Southampton to do a deal for him.
Now, according to Brazilian journalist Bruno Lemos, the Argentine midfielder will sign a contract with Flamengo on Tuesday or Wednesday.
It has been suggested that the 21-year-old Argentine will have a meeting with the Flamengo club directors before finalising his move.
Flamengo have been desperate to land the Southampton midfielder and they are set to get their wish.
Now it remains to be seen if the Saints will look for a potential replacement for Alcaraz in the dying embers of the transfer window.
