Wolverhampton Wanderers are ‘not close’ to signing Luca Koleosho from Burnley, despite being keen on him, according to talkSPORT.

The 19-year-old has emerged as a priority transfer target for Wolves, who are operating with a limited budget this summer, despite substantial player sales.

A winger is one of manager Gary O’Neil’s requirements and Burnley’s Koleosho is being tracked.

Koleosho is rated highly despite missing a large part of last season with a knee injury.

He finished last season with 15 Premier League appearances and caught Wolves manager O’Neil’s attention.

However, despite the Premier League club being engaged in talks with Burnley, a deal is not close to being finalised.

With just four days remaining in the summer window, Wolves will have to act quickly in order to get a deal over the line.

They have also been working with Arsenal for the transfer of Aaron Ramsdale but a deal looks complicated in that case as well.

Wolves manager O’Neil has his hands tied due to financial constraints the club operate with, but there is some money available.
