Nottingham Forest are continuing to reject approaches from Newcastle United for Anthony Elanga, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The Magpies have done very minimal business in terms of incomings in the transfer window.
They pushed really hard to sign Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace but the Eagles rejected all four offers from the Magpies.
William Osula from Sheffield United is their only forward signing this summer and today they tried with a bid to sign Elanga from the Tricky Trees.
Nottingham Forest, though, are not interested in selling their Swedish forward and they are rejecting any approaches from the Magpies for Elanga.
Nuno’s side have signed multiple wide forwards in this transfer window but Elanga has established himself as an important part of the team and they deemed Newcastle’s offer as too late.
Elanga joined the City Ground outfit last season from Manchester United and impressed with 14-goal contributions in 36 league appearances.
With only the last few hours to go in the transfer window and Nottingham Forest’s stance on Elanga, the Magpies are set to miss out on another Premier League target.
