Cardiff City boss Erol Bulut is taking training as normal today despite continuing speculation about his position, according to Wales Online.

Stoke City have just sacked Steven Schumacher amid a mixed start to the campaign which sees the Potters sitting in mid-table; they are now holding talks with Norwich City coach Narcis Pelach.

Bulut’s Cardiff are rock bottom of the Championship following a far worse start than Stoke’s.

The Bluebirds have picked up just a single point from their five league games so far and went down to defeat at newly promoted Derby County this weekend.

Matters are due to get no easier for Cardiff as they entertain promotion contenders Leeds United next weekend.

There has been speculation over Bulut’s position as manager, but the boss and his staff are taking training as normal today.

At present there is no indication that Bulut is set to be shown the axe by Cardiff.

He will hope he has the opportunity to spring a surprise on Leeds next weekend and get Cardiff climbing up the Championship table.
