Crystal Palace loan star Owen Goodman has admitted that he has ambitions to be like one of Southampton’s stars in the future.

The 20-year-old English shot-stopper came through the Eagles academy and he is considered a top talent at Selhurst Park.

He is currently on loan at League Two side AFC Wimbledon and has been capped by both Canada Under-20s and England Under-20s set-ups.

Goodman played 40 times for League Two side Colchester last season and now he is gathering more first-team experience at AFC Wimbledon.

The young and ambitious shot-stopper revealed that he wants to achieve the heights of Saints goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale, who had a spell at the Wombles.

“You just have to look at the goalkeepers who have been here before me”, Goodman told the Evening Standard.

“Look at where Aaron Ramsdale is now; that is what I want to achieve. Anything can happen.”

The Crystal Palace loan star will be aiming to catch Oliver Glasner’s eye with his performances while on loan at AFC Wimbledon.
