Fulham have tied boss Roy Hodgson to an extended contract after the ex-Finland coach continued his excellent progress in London. Hodgson, who has attracted much attention for his sterling work at Craven Cottage, has agreed to sign a new 12-month rolling contract with the Premier League club.

"It’s nice they want me to stay," said Hodgson, "I’ve always made it clear I’m happy here."

The 62-year-old, who has vast experience managing in Europe, was linked with the Sweden job earlier this year and is highly-rated in Scandinavia. Fulham fans will now be relieved that Hodgson has agreed to remain in London and increasingly the Premier League side are looking likely to be the place he ends his illustrious career.
