Stoke striker Dave Kitson has expressed his desire to move to Celtic, amidst reports the Scottish giants are interested in signing him. The Englishman has just returned from a loan spell with Championship side Middlesbrough, and is keen to find a club that will offer him opportunities to play, something he feels is unlikely at Stoke.

"Celtic is a club that I have always admired and hoped to get the chance to play for them at some point,” Kitson said to Sky Sports. “Obviously Stoke would need to be happy with any deal, but moving to Celtic would be a great opportunity. I am at a critical point in my career when I should be at my peak and I need to be playing. And, unfortunately, it doesn’t look like I’m going to play too much at Stoke."

Celtic manager Tony Mowbray has expressed an interest in the former Reading star, and is looking at a possible loan deal being worked out before the end of January.
