Manchester City’s new manager Roberto Mancini has revealed the names of some of the players he missed out on in his time as Inter manager, reports Tutto Mercato. The most prominent amongst them is undoubtedly Napoli’s Slovak star Marek Hamsik.
Mancini explained, "When I coached Inter I asked for Fabiano Santacroce, Daniele Mannini and Hamsik from Brescia. I mainly wanted the Slovak, Napoli however were quicker than us."
Such talk from Mancini will no doubt lead to speculation that he could try to take Hamsik to Eastlands, using some of the vast transfer war-chest available to him.
The Italian also lavished praise on Napoli’s star. "I am not at all surprised that the major European clubs are interested in Hamsik. The Slovak is a real talent."
