Speculation linking Roma youngster Stefano Okaka with a Fulham deal have been turned into reality as France Football reports the 20-year-old striker has agreed to a six-month loan deal with the Premier League side with an option for a permanent transfer.

The Italian, who scored against The Cottagers in a Europa League tie this season, has since caught the eye of manager Roy Hodgson, who has been keen to bolster his attacking options in the January transfer window.

Okaka is a product of the Roma youth system, but since his inclusion in the senior team in 2005, has managed only 23 appearances with the Italian giants. His arrival has come at a very timely moment for Fulham, who have lost in-form striker Bobby Zamora for 6-8 weeks with a shoulder injury.
