Palmeiras striker Vagner Love, who is on loan from CSKA Moscow, is set to sign for fellow Brazilian side Flamengo, according to reports in the Brazilian media. It is understood that the Russian side have verbally agreed terms to a six-and-a-half month loan deal with the latest Brazilian league champions.

Love, who was a regular in the CSKA first-team squad from 2005 to 2008 was sent out on loan after a disappointing 2009 campaign. It was also reported that the reason for the unexpected move of the player was due to urgent family issues that needed resolving in his hometown.

Vagner has an impressive scoring record in the Russian capital bagging 95 goals in 184 matches for CSKA Moscow. The 25-year-old will now have the opportunity to create a devastating strike partnership at Flamengo, as he links up with rejuvenated former Inter Milan star Adriano.
