Greek giants Olympiacos have swooped for Napoli’s Argentine midfielder Jesus Datolo, securing him on loan until the end of the season.
Datolo, a 25-year-old most at home on the left flank, was keen for extra playing time in order to push his case for a place in Argentina’s squad for the World Cup later this year.
Olympiacos will be hopeful that Datolo can give their season a boost, and none more than the club’s Brazilian coach Zico, who has come under increased pressure in Athens.
Datolo only joined Napoli in 2009, and arrived highly rated following a series of impressive displays for Boca Juniors in the Copa Libertadores.
