Olympique Marseille managed a point against title leaders Bordeaux at the weekend, but lost influential left-back Gabriel Heinze in the process. The former Manchester United and Real Madrid defender had to be replaced in the 69th minute with France Football reporting the player will be out for at least three weeks.
This comes as a blow to the fourth-placed Ligue 1 side, who were on a three-game win streak before their weekend draw. Heinze has been an influential figure in the club since his transfer from Real Madrid, and will be sorely missed by the OM defence.
Marseille currently lie 11 points behind Bordeaux, but only four points behind second-placed Lille, and with a game in hand.
