Everton manager David Moyes has expressed his interest in acquiring AC Milan’s disgruntled striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar. The Dutchman has been used sparingly by the Italian giants since his transfer from Real Madrid, and is believed to be keen to find a team that will play him more regularly.

I don’t talk about players at other clubs, but if Huntelaar was available I would be interested, certainly,” said Moyes in the Liverpool Echo. “I think we are lacking firepower at this present time. We’re creating plenty of chances but we’re not finishing games off like I think we should be.”

With the 24-year-old’s agent recently revealing that his client was attracting interest from English clubs, the former prolific Ajax goal scorer could be on his way to the Premier League after unsuccessful spells at La Liga and the Serie A.
