Celtic have confirmed their fourth signing in the January transfer window with the capture of Brondby’s Morten Rasmussen. The 24-year-old Dane has been in prolific form in the first half of the season, scoring 12 goals in 15 appearances and subsequently catching the attention of Tony Mowbray.

On attracting interest from the Scottish giants, Rasmussen revealed his need for a bigger challenge, saying to the club’s official website, “I was very pleased as I know they are a big club. I felt it was time to try something new as I had been with Brondby for four years. Now I am looking forward to new career here at Celtic.”

Mowbray has been heavily investing in the Celtic squad in the transfer window, having already signed youngsters Thomas Rogne (19), Ki Sung Yueng (21), and the seasoned Jos Hooiveld (26).
