Helped by a Klaas-Jan Huntelaar double AC Milan saw off the challenge of Udinese in Friday night’s Serie A match and the Dutchman felt it was a good chance for the team to show what they can do ahead of the meeting with Manchester United.
Huntelaar, who has often failed to hit the heights expected this season, did not know that his display was in front of a watching Sir Alex Ferguson. "Ferguson? I do not know what he was thinking. I did not even know he was there" said the striker.
Despite winning 3-2, Huntelaar felt Milan made some mistakes, but did manage to "showcase" their abilities in front of the watching Manchester United boss. But Huntelaar warned that Milan "can do better".
AC Milan will meet Manchester United at the San Siro on Tuesday night as the Champions League returns.
