Ahead of Manchester United’s crucial visit to Goodison Park at the weekend, Sir Alex Ferguson has announced the welcome news of the return to fitness of Nemanja Vidic. The Serbian centre-back has been out for nine consecutive games, but could be thrust straight into line-up to face in form former team-mate Louis Saha.
“It’s welcome news," said Ferguson at his Friday press conference. "He’s trained very well in the last two weeks and he’s ready to come into the squad.”
United have to focus their attentions to getting a win against Everton, who recently beat league leaders Chelsea. The Red Devils are currently in second in the Premier League, just a single point behind The Blues.
