Real Madrid have come under heaps of criticism following their unexpected loss to Lyon in midweek, but manager Manuel Pallegrini insists nothing will change when their title run continues against Villarreal on Sunday.
“The message has been the same since the beginning. We’re a winning team that is scoring and with authority. That explains why we have won all league games at the Bernabeu. We averaged almost three goals per game and a half,” Pellegrini explained in Spanish paper Marca.
Real are just two points behind Barcelona in La Liga, and will have the added incentive of possibly going top this weekend should the champions stutter against Racing Santander the day before.
