Manchester United lost ground in the Premier League title race after losing to Everton 3-1 and Chelsea beating Wolverhampton at the weekend. Manager Sir Alex Ferguson insists there is no cause for panic as of yet however, claiming his side have a great chance with the top teams unexpectedly dropping points to weaker sides throughout the season.

The league has been wide open this season – it’s been funny like that," Ferguson said to MUTV. "Teams have dropped points you don’t expect them to drop, but the very nature of the league suggests we still have a good chance. We’ve got a big match on Tuesday night – it’s a massive game for this club and hopefully we can get the result we need."

Man Utd have a great opportunity to cut Chelsea’s lead back to just a single point when The Red Devils face West Ham in midweek, and The Blues facing a stern test in Manchester City at the weekend.
