After Manchester United’s hammering of AC Milan in midweek, there is more good news for Sir Alex Ferguson’s side with Ryan Giggs nearing a return after his spell on the sidelines with a broken arm. The evergreen player will not be fit for the match against Fulham, but could be set to face Liverpool the week after.

"Ryan has been training well, and he’ll be getting a different plaster cast on his arm today," Ferguson said on the club’s official website. "We’ll be getting a fresh player back. For weeks we were trying to formulate what the best games would be to play him in to keep him fresh. But he’s had a month’s rest now and he’s going to come back very fresh."

Giggs will be rejoining a side that is benefiting from the return of the vital defensive partnership of Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand.
