Manchester United will be delighted to finally have their rock-solid defensive partnership of Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand back together in a run of games again. The duo have been a vital piece of the Red Devils’ success in recent years, and with the current season going down to the wire, their return will bring comfort to the Man Utd faithful, and the squad as well.

“We’ve both been injured for a while and I think we need a few more games before we hit top form. But nothing has changed since we’ve been out – we always know how to play together,” Vidic said to Manutd.com “We understand each other – he knows how I will react in certain situations and it’s the same the other way round.”

The duo were reunited for the first time since October against Wolverhampton last week, and were solid when AC Milan visited Old Trafford in midweek.
