Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Redknapp is full of praise of Blackburn Rovers manager Sam Allardyce ahead of their match today. The former Newcastle boss has guided his side to an impressive 12th in the league standings at present, a solid ten points away from the relegation zone, and three places above where the club finished last season.

Sam’s got Blackburn going well, they are halfway and as Sam says, they are looking to push on and see how high they finish. He won’t take his foot off the peddle, that’s for sure," Redknapp said on the club’s official website. "Sam’s done a great job there, as he always does. Whatever he does and however he does it, he’s been one of the most successful managers in the last 10 years. I think he’s a fantastic manager."

Redknapp will be hoping Spurs can cope with Blackburn’s physical approach as they attempt to hold on to their coveted fourth spot in the league.
