Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich are reportedly eyeing a move for Arsenal star Robin van Persie according to France Football. The Dutchman, who is currently sidelined through injury, had enjoyed an impressive campaign in the first half of the Premier League season. Bayern Munich, coached by countryman Louis van Gaal, have not been ignorant to the progress van Persie has made.

With the Allianz Arena outfit facing up to the prospect of losing France wizard Franck Ribery in the summer, as Barcelona, Chelsea and Real Madrid prepare to do battle, the Germans will have significant funds available to strengthen their team. Having returned to the top table of the Champions League, and proven they can once again reach the latter stages, Bayern will be confident they would be an attractive proposition for van Persie.

Should van Persie find his way out of the Emirates, then he would find himself with a Dutch coach in van Gaal, and Dutch team-mates in the form of Mark van Bommel and Arjen Robben.
