Wolverhampton Wanderers gave their push to remain in the Premier League a huge boost last night by defeating fellow strugglers West Ham United at Upton Park. The win ends a challenging three-game road trip for Mick McCarthy’s side, a run which the team impressively dropped only two points.
"It was a brilliant result and it is significant, of course it is," said McCarthy on the club’s official website. "It is points that will keep us in the league and we have just had seven from three tough away games. If anybody else can put that run together, good luck to them"
Wolves are now seven points above the drop zone, with same number of games left to play.
