Manchester United have confirmed that talented youngster Nani, has agreed to a new four-year contract with the club, and will remain with the club until at least June 2014. The Portuguese winger has done well to recover from a slow start to the season and plenty of exit rumours, to become a regular on the left wing for the Red Devils.

Nani is an emerging talent within the team and has developed tremendously since joining the club,” United manager Sir Alex Ferguson said on the club’s official website. “We are delighted he has signed a new contract and I am sure he will have a long and successful future here at Manchester United."

Nani looked to have buckled from the pressure of filling Cristiano Ronaldo’s shoes earlier in the season, but has recently turned things around with some impressively mature and calm performances on Man Utd’s wings.
