Chelsea were the top team in the Premier League at the weekend, surprising many with an absolute thrashing of top four contenders Aston Villa. Midfield dynamo Frank Lampard, who bagged four goals in the match, claims the performance was a display of what The Blues are capable of.

“I had scored against Portsmouth midweek and the team had played well in that game and now against Villa, this was us at our best,” Lampard said on the club’s official website. “We showed what we are all about with our passing and movement. 7-1 is a strong result but we deserved it with the way we played.”

Chelsea will be hoping to reproduce the same sort of form on Saturday, when they face leaders Manchester United in a dramatic top of the table clash.
