Ajax’s Dennis Rommedahl, who also enjoyed a spell with Charlton Athletic, has hailed Denmark manager Morten Olsen as “one of the best coaches” he has ever played for. The 31-year-old will play in his second World Cup this June in South Africa, and is determined to overcome a difficult group to progress to past the group stages.

“He’s one of the best coaches I’ve ever played for,” Rommedahl said on Fifa.com. “He makes time for each and every player, and he knows all there is to know about the game. His aim is to help every player improve, with the ultimate goal of us producing our very best form for the national team.

Olsen, who has been in charge of the Denmark squad for a decade, will attempt to guide his side through a difficult group consisting of the Netherlands, Cameroon and Japan.
