Arsenal skipper Cesc Fabregas has been surrounded with speculation of a return to Spain for most of this season, but manager Arsene Wenger remains confident that his young captain will remain with The Gunners. The French tactician sees no reason why he should sell his best player, insisting that it is the club that will decide the player’s future, not the other way around.

We are not under any financial need, we are well-managed and that gives you one luxury in that you can decide about the future of your players,” Wenger said on the club’s official website. "Secondly, we want to be a better team next year than we have been this year and that means we always want to keep our best players."

In light of keeping the team’s highest quality players, Wenger will certainly not want to lose Fabregas, who has managed a spectacular 19 goals and 19 assists already this season.
