Real Madrid’s Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has heaped praise on Inter coach Jose Mourinho. Los Blancos are desperate to see Mourinho stop Barcelona’s bid to contest this year’s Champions League final in the Bernabeu and a charm offensive appears to have begun in the Spanish capital.
"Mourinho is a coach I’ve always liked" said Ronaldo to Sky Sports News. "I know him very well, he is a winner. That is why people do not like him."
Cristiano Ronaldo’s comments have also raised speculation in the Spanish press that the Portuguese has given his blessing should Mourinho become president Florentino Perez’s choice to take over as Real Madrid coach next season. With the club looking unlikely to win La Liga and already out of the Copa del Rey and Champions League, current boss Manuel Pellegrini is believed to be for the chop.
