With the almost certain failure of Liverpool to finish fourth in the Premier League, and their subsequent absence in the Champions League next season, there are fears that the Merseyside giants may face a mass exodus of big-name players, who are desperate to shine on Europe’s biggest stage.

One player is highly likely to be plying his trade at Anfield next season however, with Yossi Benayoun claiming on the league’s official website, “Failure to reach the Champions League should not be a reason not to continue at Liverpool. At the moment, I’m at one of the world’s biggest clubs and I’m enjoying it here.”

The former West Ham United standout couldn’t resist placing a little doubt over his future though, stating, “I still might receive an offer in the future which could not be turned down. Who knows?"
