Striker Djibril Cisse has poured cold water over reports that he is set to leave Greek champions Panathinaikos this summer. The French striker has been an undoubted success in Greece and helped The Greens to wrestle the title back from long time bitter rivals Olympiacos this season.

"I have a four-year contract," said Cisse, "I will stay here."

The news will come as a relief to Panathinaikos fans who had worried that the Greek Super League would not be enough to keep the former Liverpool striker happy. Cisse ended the Super League season as the club’s top scorer and will certainly be a vital part of the Athens side’s assault on the Champions League.
