Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard has warned Chelsea that The Reds will be giving their all to take three points from them when the two meet later today.

With Liverpool unlikely to be able to grab the final Champions League spot, following Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur both winning yesterday, while a win may mean little to the Anfield side, it could help hand Manchester United the Premier League title – a title which would represent their 19th accolade, one more than Liverpool.

"We owe it to our supporters to try and finish the season with two wins", Gerrard told Liverpool’s official site. "I know there has been a lot of speculation in the media about us going to take our foot off the gas and try to do Chelsea a favour. Well, that won’t be happening."

The Reds’ star midfielder also warned Carlo Ancelotti’s side that Liverpool will not worry about The Blues.

"We never go into any game worrying about the opposition. It’s all about us, what we do, and just get the three points."
