Rangers midfielder Steven Davis has been named the Scottish Premier League’s player of the year after an impressive campaign with the league champions. The Northern Ireland international believes he is far from the finished article however, claiming on UEFA.com, “I feel I have progressed every season I’ve been here, but there are lots of areas where I can improve.”

With Rangers qualified for the Champions League next season, the 25-year-old expressed his delight at realising a dream of his: “Hopefully, I can put it all together next season and put everything into practice. One of the things that attracted me to Rangers was European football and it’s great to be back in the Champions League."

The Gers finished the league 11 points ahead of Celtic, who have now had to witness their arch rivals win back-to-back league titles.
