According to Catalan daily Sport, striker David Villa is set to end speculation regarding his departure from Valencia by signing with Barcelona at the weekend. Negotiations between the record-breaking side and Los Che are believed to be going smoothly and are expected to be wrapped up at the weekend.
With Barca looking to end the season with the La Liga title when they face Real Valladolid at the Camp Nou, manager Pep Guardiola has decided to delay all announcements until after the club’s most important match of the campaign.
Valencia are reported to be expecting somewhere in the region of €40M for the Spanish goal scoring machine, an amount that Barcelona are attempting to lower. It is emphasised by the Catalan giants that Bojan Krkic will certainly not be considered in a possible switch move to lower the cost.
