Although stars Adriano and Ronaldinho were left out of Brazil’s 23-man squad for the World Cup, the latter still has a shot of featuring in the tournament in June. The AC Milan standout has been included as one of seven reserves for the side, and could be called to action should any late injuries occur.

Ronaldinho, who scored 13 goals and made 16 assists in 40 matches for Milan, was full of confidence he had done enough this season to be included for the squad headed to South Africa, but manager Dunga had other plans.

The former World Player of the Year will now have to be content with a place on the reserves list, along with notable players such as Chelsea’s Alex and Real Madrid’s Marcelo.
