The Premier League season may have just ended a few days ago, but Sunderland are already busy adding to their squad. It has been announced that Paraguayan international Cristian Riveros has joined the club on a three-year deal from Mexican Primera Division side C.D.S.C Azulmoves.
The 27-year-old midfielder is the second Paraguayan to be signed by the Black Cats, with national team captain Paulo Da Silva joining the previous summer.
“We have been monitoring Cristian for a while now so I’m delighted to have concluded a deal which will bring him to Sunderland and the Barclays Premier League,” manager Steve Bruce said on the league’s official website. “He is a very creative midfielder and a player that will enhance our attacking options from wide positions for next season."
