According to reports on Spanish paper Marca, Real Madrid are banking on the arrival of Jose Mourinho to bring the massive club back to its glory days. Fresh from winning a spectacular treble with Inter Milan, speculation is rife that the Portuguese tactician is ready to join the Madrid club.

President Florentino Perez is understood to be willing to hand Mourinho €115.8M in transfer funds, in order for the former Chelsea boss to make the “perfect team.” Fernando Torres, Wayne Rooney, Didier Drogba, and Frank Lampard were all included in the list of top transfer targets.

Inter right-back Maicon is also being linked to follow his manager to La Liga, but the defender admits the decision is not his to make, saying, “If Mourinho wants me to Real, we'll see if the Inter president, Massimo Moratti, agrees.”
