Since the transfer of David Villa to Barcelona from Valencia, the future of underperforming Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been under constant speculation. The Swedish striker enjoyed an impressive start to his career with the Catalan giants, but found it difficult to keep up his form as the campaign drew to a close.

With the Barca faithful not particularly convinced with the towering striker, the Premier League was widely believed to be Ibrahimovic’s next destination. The former Inter Milan star isn’t too excited about making the switch from La Liga however, saying on Swedish magazine Café, "I do not think that the possibility of playing in England is close because I do not like the rain.”

Despite his disliking for frequent precipitation, Premier League clubs are the only ones likely to be able to afford his hefty price tag. Ibrahimovic was purchased by Barca in a deal worth around €65M last summer, and will unlikely be sold for too much less.
