Hamburg have officially announced that Armin Veh will be taking charge next season, having agreed to a two-year deal with the Europa League semi-finalists. He succeeds caretaker manager Ricardo Moniz, who took over following the departure of Bruno Labbadia at the end of April.

Veh will be focusing on bringing Hamburg domestic glory next season, as they finished seventh in the league standings last campaign, failing to qualify for the Europa League. The 49-year-old certainly has experience with Bundesliga success, having guided Stuttgart to the title back in 2007.

The German manager’s last employers were Wolfsburg, who sacked him in January after a run of nine matches without a win in all competitions.
