After failing to complete a move to AC Milan last summer when the Italian club did not meet the €20M asking price, Sevilla striker Luis Fabiano is adamant the same situation will not repeat itself this time around. Despite still having another year left on his current contract with the La Liga side, he is confident his performances in the World Cup will convince Milan to meet his valuation.

Although I have a contract year, everything can change after South Africa,” Fabiano told Spanish paper AS. “I’ll talk to [chairman Jose Maria] Del Nido after the tournament. A year ago we tried my possible transfer to Milan, but it failed. There are Ronaldinho and Pato, two friends with whom I’d like to play."

Fabiano scored 21 goals in 34 appearances in the last campaign, his fifth season for Sevilla.
