Former England striker Ian Wright has expressed his hope that England “get the formula right up front” in order for the Three Lions to have any hope of winning the World Cup. The football pundit believes in order to get the most out of the attack, Aston Villa’s Emile Heskey should be the one chosen to partner Wayne Rooney.

"Emile doesn’t score that many goals but we need to stick to what we’re comfortable with,” Wright said on Villa’s official website. “You have to go with what’s tried and trusted — and that’s Heskey up front with Rooney."

England achieved plenty of success in the World Cup qualifying with Rooney and Heskey paired up, and Capello has shown signs he will continue with the partnership when the Three Lions face the United States on Saturday.
