Although Arsenal have expressed their intention to keep hold of Cesc Fabregas for many more years to come, reports from Catalan daily Sport claim that a deal could be reached with Barcelona soon, with the help of disgruntled midfielder Yaya Toure.

The Ivorian international found himself dropping down the pecking order at the Camp Nou last season, and is now determined to move to a club that will provide him regular playing time. Having had a €35M bid flatly rejected last week, Barca are hoping the inclusion of Toure will persuade the North London club to reconsider.

With the Ivorian valued at €25M, the deal to snag Fabregas would shoot up to €60M, a price that the Catalan club are hoping the Gunners will find more appealing. With the 22-year-old skipper seemingly intent to return to his boyhood club, Arsenal may find it difficult to turn down such an inviting offer.
