Inter legend Luis Suarez has said he believes it is unlikely that new coach Rafael Benitez will move to try and bring Fernando Torres to the San Siro. Benitez has been linked with moves for several of the players he coached at Liverpool including Javier Mascherano, Dirk Kuyt and Torres.

"I don’t think he will come"
said Suarez when asked about the prospect of Torres at Inter. "Inter are covered up front with Balotelli, Eto’o, Pandev, Milito. Torres is an extraordinary player, and now the fact that Benitez, his last coach, is here could suggest a transfer. But the sums involved are very, very high, and the area of the pitch is already covered. I think it’s unnecessary to spend so much."

The Inter great though was more optimistic about the possible arrivals of Mascherano and Kuyt, labelling the Dutchman a "very versatile player" who knows Benitez well and "could compensate for some departures." On the Argentina captain Suarez spoke of his belief that Mascherano is a very good player, who Benitez could count upon should he end up at the San Siro.

As Benitez begins to shape his Inter squad for next season the transfer talk and links with former players are sure to intensify.
