Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger reckons former England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson will be handicapped at the World Cup, having just taken over Ivory Coast without any prior experience with the side. The Swede agreed to take charge of the African nation roughly just a month prior to the massive tournament.

Citing players’ tendencies that the Swede will have to learn very quickly, Wenger explained on the club’s official website. "How do they (players) react when they are subbed? Do they sulk or can they cope with it? Who has the physical powers to last the 90 minutes? You do not want to take off somebody who tends to be stronger in the last 30 minutes.”

Such factors have the French tactician feeling Eriksson will be at a disadvantage as the tournament progresses in South Africa.
