After succeeding in signing German international Thomas Hitzlsperger from Lazio, West Ham United have succeeded in completing another deal, by agreeing a two-year extension with Luis Boa Morte. The Portuguese attacker’s contract had expired in the summer, but his full recovery from a long term injury has been rewarded with an extension.

To be honest, I did have more options and more offers from other people but I wanted to stay here.,” Boa Morte said on the club’s official website. “When the season finished, a few clubs came to me about signing for them but West Ham believed in me and things are looking positive here.”

West Ham are on the verge of exciting things next season, with new manager Avram Grant, and chairman David Sullivan determined to bring in top quality players to the club.
