Going into their must win game against Slovenia, England midfielder Frank Lampard has called on his side to reproduce the type of quality that made them standouts in the world’s most competitive league – the Premier League.

“We play in the best league in the world and we need to play with the same passion,” the Chelsea player explained to France Football. “We need to be ready to apply more pressure and put more energy in the matches, which is the basis of our game [in the Premier League].”

With the Blues winning a remarkable domestic double in the last season, Lampard’s words should resonate even more strongly with himself, as the talented midfielder has yet to find the form that made him a key figure in Chelsea’s recent title-winning campaign.
